Father-dear comes to iftar half a minute late. His excuse being unacceptable by the family, he is told after a glass of drink that he gets no food today because of his lateness. When his saddened face still gets him no food, he offers a little gift to the lady of the house.
"একটা গিফ্ট দিলে খাবার পাওয়া যাবে?"
"আমি কি তোমার কাছে গিফ্ট চেয়েছি? আর তোমার খাওয়া আটকে রেখেছে তো পোলাপাণেরা।"
Pleasing the lady of the house may possibly appease the পোলাপান, so father dear retrieves the gift.
"Oooh! Ammu open it!"
Out comes .... a keyring? With the date of the day?... What?... Huh?...WHY?...
Wait a minute... AAAH! It's September the 8th! In the daily hustle and bustle of life, he remembered when the rest of us did not.
